Welcome to the Tampa Bay Radio Information site. You will find
information on several Motorola systems, the EDACS system which is
operated by the City of Clearwater, as well as conventional frequencies
for the Greater Tampa Bay Area. If you have any information that you
don't see here or have a correction, please send it to me.
This information has been compiled from various sources, including Trunker,
Etrunk, several mailing lists (tampabaytrs and tampascanning
@ yahoogroups.com), my own observations, as well as several regular
contributors. To navigate this site, select the area of interest from the
menu on the left. |

With the help of Ben's
patch list, I updated the listing for Pinellas County talkgroups on the
Tampa Bay Radio Information website. You will find the Old, New, and Aplha
Tag in table form. Remember, it could be either the old or new talkgroup
that is currently being used, so the best bet is to program them both into
your scanner. I haven't had the chance to add the St Petersburg PD
talkgroups yet, but that will come soon. If anyone has any updates for the
list please send them to me (direct if possible) and I will do my best to
keep the list current.
Sidenote: the IDs listed
might display as ID +3 on your scanner due to the patch status of the
talkgroup. If you just joined this group in the last few days, you may
have missed an importand thread regarding status bits. Searching the
achives will explain a lot.

1/3/03 - Happy New Year! Pinellas County is
at it again. If you are not hearing your normal talkgroups anymore, chances
are that they have been moved or patched. Try adding 3 to your talkgroup ID
to be able to hear the comms (this is not necessary on new scanners, like
the 780). Hopefully, things will settle down in the next few weeks as the
migration to Smartzone commences.

Progress Energy system information added. The system seems to be in full
operation now. 7/20/03.

9/2/02 - The Pinellas County
and St. Pete radio systems have been doing some strange stuff in the last
few days. You will notice many talkgroup patches on the Pinellas system, and
2 active control channels on the St. Pete system. This is due to
the upgrade to the county system that is underway.
